At a single blow I got high   
I saw the man behind the bar  I imagined how I would grab his hand  It would be easy, he wasn't far  But I didn't, so I quit  Before the game started  Before I could make a hit   
I didn't want to lose this game  So I waited and hoped and waited  The night became darker, darker than black  And as he reached out to take my hand  To ask for a waltz, I knew we were ::The Waltz::

Sometimes it's hard to live  When you can't forgive  The ones you love so much  And yourself and such  Who have always been there  The friends who really care  And your family you ever trust
